Inspired by life on the Big Island of Hawai’i, “Hawaiian Skies” (2011) features only one track in the style of Hawaiian slack-key and runs the gamut with the remaining eight tracks from American folk to Brazilian Samba to Southern Blues.
The fact that I’ve been receiving constantly enthusiastic feedback for “Hawaiian Skies” from firends and partners in the media industry has added to my excitement about the coherent sound and approach of this album; these nine pieces really work as a whole by telling a story in a simple but, at the same time, very effective way by connecting on an emotional level with the listener - in a way that intimate guitar performances are especially suited to do. This is the newest album, "Mutanten" (2010), by BOUNCING BULLETS, a producer team consisting of Berlin producer, Einhard Luther, and myself, Hans Fahling. "Mutanten" highlights modern beats & percussion with virulent themes in vintage pop/funk instrumentation as well as spacey synthetic mayhem - to get an idea of where the title stems from, consider ‘Mutanten’ being German for mutants. Moby-meets-Philip-Glass could be a fitting description of the album's influences, throwing in some U2, Dee-Lite, Brian Eno, Dust Brothers, Thievery Corporation, and even Nine Inch Nails.
"Cinematic Works" (2009) was compiled from a constantly growing library of COUNCING BULLETS compositions. With imagery as the main goal, all of these tracks reflect our visions of their placement in cinematic productions and certain scenes therein. While some pieces rely heavily on sound design elements and some on modern percussion/beat arrangement, others emphasize purely orchestral approaches in order to achieve specific effects, emotional responses and amplification of specific visual content. The gamut seems to run from Debussy to the Dust Brothers but definitely has that certain unifying theme: Cinematic Works. Musical score for this documentary film by producer/director

NatLounge has, so far, been a studio project of great ambition. Berlin singer, Nathalie Claude (artist site here), lent her vocal skills and conceptual collaboration in the early part of 2007 to realizing these truly unique sound collages: Brilliant vocals layer and mesh with various sound design elements - the results are simply mesmerizing.
