I remember this assignment in music class, at a time before my first plunks on a guitar, which entailed writing a piece of music through notation. When I finished my piece I proudly asked my sister to sight read it on flute; the results were strangely interesting and I was hooked from that moment on.
Aside from music production being a job, it's just great fun to see and hear a song forming - sometimes out of thin air and at other times with the help of great musicians and singers or simply on my digital audio workstation. I love to make someone sound great and give a song the shine that it asks for, even when it isn't my own song.The newest work of mine is an album of guitar duets, which can be previewed track by track below.
